Akirathaghana - Ungrateful Ones

- the ones who do not know the art of receiving.

Whatever we are, what so ever we have, all the experiences good or bad we have and all beautiful scenic that we cherish is all given by god. He is the creator and destroyer of not just all bodies but also of whole nature.

However, all this does not come for free. you are asked to appreciate it. God asks us to chant his name , (in whatever form we do) to remember that he is the giver and thank him for all.

We do not do any favor by remembering him. This is where most of the devotees get stuck. You chant him and then start thinking that it's you who're doing god a favor. How foolish are we?

Relation with the almighty is a spiritual thing. There may be some who may not connect to it.

However, we all share same kind of relation with our parents. They feed us, take care of our needs and interests. They are always there for us. We think that all they did and are still doing is their duty, and that they would never ask anything in return of it.
That's not true!

They need us back when we are settled, and they want us to be with them, share our joyous moments with them. Sadly, this is the time when we realize that there is a generation gap between us, and they cannot understand us...

To some extent, this can be true. Nevertheless, this is the time we give back. Be with them. Either make them understand, or you understand them.

If you can't even make your parents happy, you are not worth this life.

dedicated to that pure almighty and to our lovely parents:

ਤੂ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਵਡਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਥੋਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
You are great and all-powerful; my understanding is so inadequate, O Lord.

You cherish even the ungrateful ones; Your Glance of Grace is perfect, Lord.

lets Jump Now!

What do you do to see a pit in the road?

for me...
Thanks to all who created pits on my road.
Thanks to all who dint let me walk by side.
I am learning to jump now.

I usually used to walk by side and keep eyes on destiny. Same was the attitude towards all tidbit problems in daily routine. Simply ignore and stay chill !

Until recently, when I realized that I am missing the fun of facing these tidbit problems. I owe to all who created pits on my road. I owe to all who dint let me walk from sides and dragged me in. I am finally learning to jump now !!!

Journey is now more adventurous and so is the happiness achieved on crossing each pit.

Life is like a video game. Think of Temple Run or Mario. How these games would have been if there existed plain way without pits! boring huh...Exploring those landscapes, fighting with enemies, solving puzzles, collecting powers, add fun to the game... so is with the life.

It's not about
"chalte chalte kat jaye raste zindagi yuhi chalte rahe meaning"

means wishing that life is smoothly passed walking on roads"

rather it's
"Aye bhai zaraa daikh ke chalo aage hi nahi peechhe bhi"

means don't just keep a watch on your way ahead but also on a way just crossed.

Enjoy!!
most important motto of life :)

to Ignore is being Strong

Most of the time we find ourselves stuck in a feeling where we are not able to adjust with something and repeatedly think of same. Our thinking attitude at such times becomes like a hurricane. we think the same, analyze the same and are caught in same.

These are instances, where you have to ignore a matter in order to have a peaceful heart and mind. Keeping little things in mind and making them grudge only puts you in loss. Such hurt feelings do not let one move ahead. If you want to achieve the heights, you will have to empty them from your heart.

Many of these are not in your area of influence, but some are. For e.g. if price hike or some government action or say if weather condition is what's bothering , ignorance is the only viable option. right?

However, in situations where the matter is in your area of influence, e.g. related to family or friends, try being action oriented rather than being problem oriented. Obviously, you can't solve things sitting at home and doing brain storming. You have to be a part to the problem to find its solution. Even so, while you are in the battleground, you cannot solve the issue unless you ignore the problem and give importance to people involved.

Continuously thinking about one thing, that could have been easily ignored is just stupidity.

Either ignore the thing completely or take some action against it.

To ignore is being Strong.
To ignore and let it not affect you is being Stronger.
To be a part of it and yet ignore is being Strongest.

=====
EDIT
=====
Now my belief is
"To ignore is being strong,
To let it not affect you is being stronger,
To be a part of it and yet let it not affect you is being strongest and
To get paranoid about it and change things till perfection is being bravest"

Exams – can they be Thrilling???

I am just done with my 2nd semester exams of MS Work Integrated Programme. I have about 2.5 years of corporate experience. After the exams, this is really a leisure time for me now. I have a gap of about two months from the next semester. It's seriously a time to chill and do all the pending tasks, and I truly have a full list of those.
:P

I have stayed busy for the semester (by busy I don't mean that I used to see books everywhere, rather it was completely opposite.!). There was a constant pressure on the mind regarding exams. Surprisingly, because of this pressure I fully enjoyed my semester.

There was a passionate thinking that started two months before the exams and said that this is the only time...Enjoy as much as you can..You will have to study non-stop for exams. Whats fascinating is that this feeling never ended.
:D

I truly lived each moment thinking of exams as the "Devil". I considered each moment precious. Now the interesting part of the story is, after celebrating the time before exams while thinking of exams as the devil, what happened during exams!

For the mid sem exams, I was confident that study of one week is sufficient to pass the exams. So, I dint study anything before that. One week before the exams, I got two options, either to appear for exams in Delhi or give makeups after one month in Jaipur.

I was so much involved in the celebration of pre-exams that Jaipur seemed like an opportunity to trip. I planned everything. I planned that I will study much before exams and in Jaipur, I will have full fun visiting the BITS university, famous places in Jaipur. I was very much excited :)

Next came Hallticket link for makeups.

I was completely trashed by knowing that makeup exams will be held in Delhi too. All that excitement and planning felt like ruined. One more bomb that blasted was after one weekend I had regular final sem exams. One more news in between was that I had to attend the marriage of one of my very good friends on that weekend.

Anyhow, I gave the makeups of mid exams. Then, on next weekend celebrated the marriage occasion whole heartily.

As I was not at all prepared for the regular final sem exams held on the coming weekend, I thought of skipping them again. Then again, makeups of regular final sem exams were scheduled just after one weekend.

And to make it all somewhat more spicy, my family planned a trip to Amritsar on that weekend. Having given priority to family and Amritsar more than study, I went to see Sri Darbar Sahib Gurudwara. That was a good time.

The only cool thing in between here was final sem exams were open book. By now, I had not studied anything, and decided not to study either :-o I dint even take a single leave from office to prepare for exams. By any means, I attempted all the makeups of final sem. Really don't know how they went as I was not aware, of how they should have gone.
..lolz :D

Now, after the sem has ended, I dont have any pressure on mind, I am missing that thrill to enjoy as much thinking that some devil is waiting ahead.

I believe this was the feeling after having worked for 1.5 years that was constantly missing, life had become boring. There was just home, then office, then again, home...Now I do realize that the devil of exams is important in my life to keep me moving happily.

This was really a happening semester for me!!!

If you relate to my thought, please share yours.

When Money Speaks The Truth Is Silent

What is truth!
& What do we call a lie?
If I look around in my office, it's hard to find one who always speaks the truth. I believe almost all of us lie at least when it comes to asking for a leave from your boss! We all are used to give excuses!

Nevertheless, does it make you a Liar?
This has become a hot topic of discussion in my friend circle.
Few say that unless your lie harms someone, you should not bother!
Few others say, believe in getting the work done.Whether it was through a truth or lie, doesn't matter. They do not think of the other consequences.
But funny part is that none of them says to be adamant and never lie!!! :D

Even so, again, when I look around at the people enjoying at the top, thinking of the ways, they would have followed to reach there, gives a thought that a person who only believes in truth and does not play strategies cannot reach there.

So, one is left with two options.Either be out of race. Look for a job where you are the only one running and would therefore be always on top Or Observer the strategies around and indulge these in you.

Because I love my career, I personally prefer the second option and would try out not to hurt anyone. However, not to hurt any one cannot be put as a constraint because when one person steps up a stair, others are automatically hurt!!!

When Money Speaks The Truth Is Silent

What is required by our Boss is Lie Detector ;)

What is required by us is Rest Chair :P

Ek Keeda hone ko Maangta

Kuch paane ke liye ek keeda hone ko maangta hai.

As it is shown in Dirty Picture and Lafangey Parindey that to achieve something really tough, you need to be passionately after it. I wish we all have at least one Keeda Das in our life who recognizes our talent and gives wings to it. However, if not, we can of course have a Keeda inside us that constantly asks us to get more for it.

Even so, would achieving something make the keeda suppress?
I think "NO". As you keep on achieving or say to arrange the food for the keeda, it would continue growing. I believe this is when one becomes greedy and looses the control.

In the dirty picture Vidya's passion grows so high at the end that she looses control on herself and ends her life. If you reach high and you are alone standing there, it is important that you become wiser and not let the keeda grow so large that it eats you.

Continue achieving...
Sustain what you have achieved.
Don't let it be like a film that is something before the interval and flows in other direction after the interval ;)

Great thanks to the Keeda or Passion inside us.
However, always do remember that you are the producer of your passion and Never let it be the other side.

Meeting with God

How far is your lord from you?

It's said that God has got a big wall at the entrance of his darbar. The door of this entrance is very narrow.
One carrying a high attitude and proud is too lengthy to enter in. One needs to drop all of his sense before entering. Only after dropping all of your knowledge one gets to see the Supreme Lord.

It is described in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji by Kabir ji as

thujh bin surath karai ko maeree Dharasan Dheejai Kholih Kivaar ||1|| Rehaao ||
Who else can take care of me, other than You? Please open Your door, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||Pause||

How does one feel on meeting with Lord?

One gets such excitement on meeting with god that he wants to express his feeling to the world. However, he feels scarcity of words for describing him. In Guru Granth Sahib Ji this is compared with the mute, who tastes the sweet candy and is extremely happy but unable to describe his happiness to the world. Only thing he can do is to smile.

Kahu Naanak Santhan ras aaee hai Jio Chaakh Goongaa Musakaarai ||2||1||20||
Says Nanak, the Saints savor this sublime essence, like the mute, who tastes the sweet candy, but only smiles. ||2||1||20||
